Job summary

Serta Simmons Bedding (SSB) is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to help maintain production equipment and keep the Riviera Beach plant running smoothly. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot basic issues with guidance from senior mechanics, and document activities to support reporting and continuous improvement.

Applicants should have 2 years in a manufacturing maintenance role, experience with hand tools, multimeters, basic safety gear, and a willingness to learn

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a maintenance or technical role in manufacturing & distribution.
• Experience with basic hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment.
• LOTO Experience
• Basic mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn more advanced systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Basic hydraulics experience
• Able to use Multimeters
• Basic understanding of computers and iPad software programs
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the repair and maintenance of production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, under the guidance of more experienced team members.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating machinery and cleaning equipment.
• Use basic troubleshooting skills and diagnostic tools to identify and address simple mechanical issues, escalating more complex problems to senior mechanics.
• Follow all safety protocols and operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and assist in preparing reports to track equipment condition and repairs performed.
• Continuously develop technical skills through on-the-job training and formal training programs. Seek guidance from senior mechanics to enhance knowledge and performance.
