Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Kentucky to repair, maintain and improve production equipment. You will work on hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical controls and PLCs to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Requires 3–5 years in maintenance and manufacturing, a High School Diploma or GED, and forklift certification. Welding and sheet metal work, plus TPM/Kaizen participation, are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• 3–5 years’ maintenance experience.
• 3–5 years’ manufacturing environment experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical controls and PLCs.
• Experience with RFPC equipment including valves, cylinders, pumps and motors.
• Operate machines, hand-tools and electronic testing equipment.
• Welding, cutting and sheet metal fabrication skills.
• Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and improve production equipment and related facilities; create work orders.
• Bench work such as rebuilding hydraulic cylinders and repair carts.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance Work Orders in the CMMS.
• Assist other technicians as needed.
• Maintain a safe working environment and communicate with other departments.
• Work overtime as required (weekends/shutdowns).
• Maintain a 5S area and participate in TPMs/Kaizens.
• Regular on-site attendance and adherence to safety rules.
