Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Production Engineer for Starship Electronics to drive production of electrical systems for the Starship spacecraft and SuperHeavy booster. You will develop process chains, design factory assets, and create tooling for avionics build and testing in a high-rate environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical, aerospace, or industrial engineering and 1+ year of related manufacturing experience, with strong communication and data-analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or industrial engineering.
• 1+ years of manufacturing engineering experience via project team, research, internship, and/or professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve process chains to deliver Starship electronics components.
• Design and deliver new factory stations and production assets.
• Design and deliver tooling for avionics build, testing, and delivery.
• Develop DFM guidelines and collaborate with design engineering.
• Apply low-cost, high-reliability manufacturing techniques.
• Guide vehicle architecture and cost-reduction trade studies.
• Analyze root cause and implement corrective actions for process issues.
