Job summary

Waga Energy is seeking a Production Engineer in Bala Cynwyd, PA to remotely monitor and operate WAGABOX facilities, maximize safety and performance, and collaborate with field technicians. The role involves data analysis, troubleshooting, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The position requires 3+ years in gas plants or similar facilities, technical degree or certs in engineering tech, and strong English communication. Occasional travel and on-call shifts are expected.

• 3+ years operating, monitoring or troubleshooting gas plants or similar facilities.

Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor and operate WAGABOX facilities to maximize safety, reliability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues with field technicians to implement corrective actions.
• Analyze operating data to identify root causes of failures and performance issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase uptime and efficiency.
• Maintain records within CMMS platforms and logs.
• Travel to operating sites to support troubleshooting and operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, regulations and standards.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule.

Production Engineer

Key Facts

• 3+ years of experience operating or remotely monitoring gas plants or similar industrial systems
• Technical certification, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field
• Approximately 25% domestic travel required, including overnight travel; occasional international travel may be required
• Landfill gas or Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) experience is a plus
• Participation in an on-call rotation is required

About the Position - Responsibilities & Duties

• Remotely monitor and operate WAGABOX® facilities to maximize safety, reliability, and performance
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, working with field technicians to implement corrective actions
• Analyze operating data to identify root causes of failures and performance issues
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase uptime and operational efficiency
• Maintain accurate records within CMMS platforms, logs, and operational tracking tools
• Travel to operating sites as needed to support troubleshooting and operational activities
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, regulations, and industry standards
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support facility operations

About You - Qualifications & Skills

• Technical certification, Associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in engineering technology, industrial technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience operating, monitoring, or troubleshooting gas plants or similar industrial facilities
• Professional-level English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience analyzing operational data to identify and resolve performance issues
• Knowledge of process engineering principles and operational optimization practices
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, including P&IDs, equipment documentation, and technical drawings
• Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and prioritization skills with the ability to work independently
• Landfill gas or Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) experience is a plus
