Job summary

Waga Energy is seeking a Production Engineer to remotely monitor and operate WAGABOX facilities, maximizing safety, reliability, and performance. You will troubleshoot equipment and processes with field technicians, analyze data to identify root causes, and drive improvements for uptime and efficiency.

Requirements include 3+ years in gas plant operations or related facilities, and a technical degree or certification. Some travel and on-call duties are expected; RNG experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating, monitoring, or troubleshooting gas plants or similar industrial facilities.
• Technical certification, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree in engineering technology, industrial technology, or a related field
• Professional-level English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience analyzing operating data to identify root causes of failures and performance issues
• Knowledge of process engineering principles and operational optimization practices
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, including P&IDs, equipment documentation, and technical drawings
• Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and prioritization skills with the ability to work independently
• Landfill gas or Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor and operate WAGABOX facilities to maximize safety, reliability, and performance
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, working with field technicians to implement corrective actions
• Analyze operating data to identify root causes of failures and performance issues
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase uptime and operational efficiency
• Maintain accurate records within CMMS platforms, logs, and operational tracking tools
• Travel to operating sites as needed to support troubleshooting and operational activities
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, regulations, and industry standards
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support facility operations

Production Engineer

Key Facts

• 3+ years of experience operating or remotely monitoring gas plants or similar industrial systems

• Approximately 25% domestic travel required, including overnight travel; occasional international travel may be required
