Job summary

Bakelite in the United States is seeking a Production Engineer to optimize site safety, productivity, and cost while directing the production team to ensure quality products are manufactured on time and at a competitive cost.

You will lead process optimization for Hexamine, Formaldehyde and Aqua ammonia, mentor production personnel, act as Incident Commander in emergencies, and drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma and a strong Operational Excellence program.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in plant engineering or production duties.
• B.S. Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Incuity Process Control applications.
• SAP knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage production organization safely and efficiently.
• Optimize processes for Hexamine, Formaldehyde and Aqua ammonia.
• Develop and mentor production personnel for growth.
• Act as Incident Commander during emergencies and incidents.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.
• Ensure product quality and on-time delivery to customers.
