Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Production Engineer to optimize site processes with a focus on safety, productivity, and cost. You will direct the production team to manufacture quality products safely, on-time, and at a competitive cost while contributing to incident investigations and training.

The role includes supporting OSHA PSM programs, ISO documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives within a chemical manufacturing environment. Riegelwood, NC area site experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years experience in plant engineering or production duties in chemical processing or related industries.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Incuity Process Control applications; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage production organization safely and efficiently.
• Oversee process optimization of chemical processes (Hexamine, Formaldehyde, Aqua ammonia).
• Identify, assess and develop the professional growth of production personnel.
• Serve as Incident Commander during emergencies and support incident response.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to prioritize work orders and outage plans; assist troubleshooting.
