Job summary

TPC in Houston, TX seeks a Production Engineer to manage engineering support for a product group, driving efficiency, reliability, safety, and environmental performance. The role requires collaboration across design, process improvement, and reliability teams to optimize unit performance and meet production targets.

The engineer will monitor KPIs and KOPs, support process safety programs, and participate in PSM, EH&S risk evaluations, and incident investigations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• 4+ years of Manufacturing experience.
• Experience with ASPEN and other modeling and data historian tools preferred.
• Knowledge of Process Safety Management required.
• Willingness to provide after-hours support including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering support for a specific product or group of products.
• Collaborates with design, process, process improvement, and reliability engineering to solve problems.
• Under general supervision, performs all conventional aspects of engineering work.
• Monitors unit performance by tracking KPIs and KOPs and reporting results.
• Develops and monitors unit capacities (MSDR and OSR) to drive performance improvements.
• Collaborates with Process Control to develop process control strategy and maintain DCS code.
