Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in Florida is seeking a Production Engineer to provide mechanical support to Design Engineering and Production during development, pre-production and production for both new and legacy products. You will act as Empower PLM Admin and support ECO processes.

The role requires a technical degree and hands-on experience with 3D printers, gasket fitting, SolidWorks, Altium, and PDM; strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams; and CAPA support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 2–4 years of relevant experience or 1 year with a Master's degree.
Mechanical Engineering background with experience using 3D printers and gasket fitting equipment is a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and the Office suite.
Experience administering Empower (Omnify PLM) and writing ECOs for components and specs.
Support CAPA processes and document technical changes.
Experience with SolidWorks, Altium and/or PDM is a definite plus.
Detail oriented with strong communication and teamwork across development and manufacturing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Act as Empower PLM administrator and manage mechanical source files in the PDM database.
Write and review ECOs for new and replacement components and assemblies.
Evaluate defective components and failure analysis with Mechanical Design Engineers.
Maintain 3D printers and gasket fitting equipment to support production needs.
Assist Mechanical Engineering to design new parts and support legacy parts using SolidWorks and Altium.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
