Job summary

Defense and Development Enterprises LLC in Weston, Florida is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support product development and manufacturing operations in an FAA-PMA and AS9100 environment. The role involves reverse engineering, CAD design, and documentation development to ensure QMS compliance.

Responsibilities include vendor evaluation, FAA submissions, product testing, and creating detailed work instructions while coordinating with FAA engineers and manufacturing QA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from a US accredited institution.
• Familiar with FAA-PMA and ISO 9100 QMS requirements for manufacturing.
• Ability to work in FAA/AS9100 regulated environments and produce compliant documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reverse engineering processes including dimensional analysis and material characterization.
• Design and draft components using CAD software.
• Participate in vendor capability research, evaluation and selection.
• Complete FAA and AS9100 QMS documentation for applicable processes.
• Prepare FAA-PMA documentation for product submissions.
• Coordinate with FAA Engineering representatives as required.
• Evaluate new incoming products in accordance with QMS.
• Perform testing of new products in compliance with QMS standards.
• Develop detailed Work Instructions for production under QMS.
• Develop Packaging and Marking Instructions per QMS requirements.
• Collaborate with the Manufacturing Quality Engineer throughout production.
