Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America is seeking a Production Engineer Assistant Manager in Columbus, Indiana. You will lead Engineers and Technicians, drive continual improvement in safety, quality, delivery and cost, and work with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering, 5+ years hands-on experience, and 2+ years of leadership. Strong problem solving, communication, and the ability to manage budgets and CapEx are valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial).
5+ years hands-on engineering experience.
2+ years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day activities and project progression of Engineer and Technician level Associates.
Mentor and develop direct reports following TMH leadership models.
Lead cross-functional teams with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, and Design Engineering.
Manage workload and resources to meet customer needs and department goals.
Identify and lead projects for immediate issues and long-term improvements.
Oversee expense and capital budgets for direct reports.
Guide CapEx approval process for TMHNA.
Oversee engineering projects with schedules, budgeting, and KPIs.
Mentor team through department vision plans and roadmaps.
Maintain a safe working environment and alertness.
Additional duties as assigned.
