Job summary

RPMGlobal is seeking a Production Engineer for ground combat vehicles in Sterling Heights, MI. You will interface with USMC and DoD engineering teams to provide production support, problem solving, and sustainment guidance across programs.

Your role includes risk assessment, briefings, and information papers to keep leadership updated on critical projects, with travel to multiple facilities as required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience in vehicle software integration onto a vehicle.
• Experience with production of large complex systems.
• Ability to travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers (20% Travel).

Responsibilities

• Lead a combined project team of government and contract employees located in many different locations while meeting directed delivery dates to meet fielding requirements.
• Provide engineering support regarding production and process improvement support to Combat Vehicle systems planning, design, development, and execution.
• Conduct requirement development and decomposition from higher level specifications and voice of the customer.
• Work in a team environment with our USMC customer and DCS Engineers.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve problems encountered with vehicle production issues.
• Conduct system engineering tasks to include risk management, data management, and trade study analysis.
• Conduct Project Management tasks including WBS Development, IMP, IMS and cost analysis.
• Develop Subject Matter Expertise on a variety of combat vehicle subsystems.
