Overview

An automotive parts manufacturer near Pendleton, IN is seeking a Production Engineer responsible for the development of CNC manufacturing processes. This role requires a strong working knowledge of CNC lathes and turning centers, and experience developing and maintaining CNC programs for turning centers.

Responsibilities

• Support, evaluate, and develop CNC turning center manufacturing methods for high volume production
• Maintain, update, and troubleshoot CNC programs
• Analyze workflow and equipment layout
• Specify tooling requirements for production
• Act as technical lead to CNC engineering technicians
• Install initial start-up of equipment
• Interact with vendors to determine appropriate specifications and purchase equipment
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience
• 3 years of CNC equipment experience preferred
• Experience with CAD software and strong working knowledge of machine G&M code
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Automotive manufacturing experience ideal
• Strong problem-solving skills

Employment details

This is a full-time, direct-hire position with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K and PTO.

Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
