Job summary

Phoenix Tailings is looking for a hands-on, driven Production Engineer early in their career to join our production team. This role is ideal for recent graduates passionate about manufacturing and eager to work directly on the production floor.

The engineer will be embedded in the daily operations of our 24/7 facility, working to optimize processes, solve real-world problems, and help shape the future of sustainable rare earth metal manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in operating industrial equipment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic production setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor advanced production equipment.
• Perform in-process checks and adjustments for consistent quality.
• Collect, analyze, and report production data for process improvement.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical and operational issues on production systems.
• Support continuous improvement, safety, and uptime.
• Coordinate startups, shutdowns, and transitions between runs.
• Collaborate with shift leads to ensure operational excellence.
• Assist in new process development on the floor.
• Uphold safety protocols and safe operations culture.
