Job summary

Phoenix Tailings, Inc. is seeking a hands-on, driven Production Engineer early in their career to join our production team.

The role is ideal for recent graduates who want to work directly on the production floor to scale clean critical metal production and optimize on-site processes. The engineer will be embedded in daily operations of our rare earth metal refining facility, performing process optimization, solving real-world problems, and helping shape sustainable manufacturing, with a focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in operating and understanding industrial equipment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor advanced production equipment used in clean metals processing.
• Perform in-process checks and adjustments to ensure consistent product quality.
• Collect, analyze, and report production data to support process improvements.
• Perform basic mechanical and operational troubleshooting on production systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and uptime.
• Conduct equipment startups, shutdowns, and transitions between production runs.
• Work closely with shift leads and operators to ensure operational excellence.
• Support new process development and implementation on the floor.
• Uphold and enforce safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safe operations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
