Job summary

Compunetix is seeking a Production Engineer to support and coordinate customer order builds, manage configurations, and proactively address issues that could impact production schedules.

You’ll work closely with Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Engineering to turn customer requirements into successful system builds and deliver high-quality products on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience managing or supporting an electronics assembly or manufacturing process.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep projects moving in a production-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Production to plan, coordinate, and oversee customer order assemblies.
• Validate customer system orders and ensure configurations are accurate and build-ready.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to monitor component requirements, availability, and acquisition.
• Identify potential material, configuration, or production issues before they impact build schedules.
• Work cross-functionally with Production, Purchasing, Sales, and other teams to keep customer orders moving.
• Develop and communicate accurate build-status updates for Sales and customers.
• Support new system configurations and help transition them into production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues while maintaining a focus on quality, schedule, and customer requirements.
• Help improve production processes and ensure builds are completed efficiently and accurately.

What You Bring

• Industrial Engineering
• Manufacturing Engineering
• 2–5 years of experience managing or supporting an electronics assembly or manufacturing process.
• Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
