The Production Engineer supports and improves manufacturing operations for industrial and embedded systems. This role focuses on production efficiency, process optimization, yield improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure high‑quality, on‑time delivery.

The Production Engineer is responsible for facilitating improvement projects to eliminate waste and increase efficiencies across various functional areas (manufacturing processes, yield improvements, and cycle‑time reductions). This position requires the ability to break down complex operations with a process‑oriented mindset, assist in the implementation of the plant’s strategic plan, provide project management support, and lead employee training and development.

What will you do
  • Extended Temperature Testing (ETT): Develop ETT protocols for Computer‑On‑Module (COM) products using Thermotron / Tenney thermal chambers. This includes creating multiple temperature profiles and implementing automated Lambda power supply control.
  • Functional Test Design: Design and implement functional tests to ensure products meet all technical specifications prior to shipment.
  • Scripting & Automation: Develop automated QTpro test scripts, Windows 10 / Windows 11 PassMark test scripts, and design test fixtures for functional testing.
  • Server Maintenance: Manage and maintain test servers, including regular backups and the recovery of crashed Red Hat Linux test servers using Clonezilla.
  • Documentation & Training: Create and maintain functional test procedures (FTPs). Support the training and transfer of test setups to production using an Agile approach.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate closely with Quality Engineers to diagnose and resolve test‑related failures and drive ongoing process improvements.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Skills
  • Proficient in developing scripts, functional tests, test logs, and debugging test failures.
  • Experience in electronics or industrial system manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, BOMs, routing, and assembly methods.
  • Ability to read schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional teamwork skills.
Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.
  • Life, AD&D, Short Term Disability, and Long‑Term Disability insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • HSA, Health Care FSA and Dependent Care FSA.
  • Vacation and Sick Leave.
  • Paid holidays.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, reaching, bending, grasping, kneeling, and use of hands for tools and components.
  • Regular use of computers and general office equipment.
  • Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
