Job summary

LHH is seeking a hands-on Production Engineer to support daily manufacturing operations, drive productivity, and reduce downtime across assembly and machining environments. This role is highly floor-focused and requires close partnership with operations teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency while supporting equipment reliability and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing, production engineering, or operations experience.
• Experience in machining, assembly, or high-volume environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives.

This role is highly floor-focused, partnering closely with operations teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency while supporting equipment reliability and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to manufacturing operations and resolve production issues
• Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve productivity and efficiency
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and 5S programs
• Analyze production data and KPIs to drive operational performance
• Support standardized work instructions, process documentation, and employee training
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and assist with equipment reliability efforts
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve quality, safety, and operational outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• 3+ years of manufacturing, production engineering, or operations experience
• Experience supporting machining, assembly, or high-volume manufacturing environments
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence initiatives
• Proficiency with Excel and production reporting tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Experience

• Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies
• Equipment reliability and maintenance coordination
