Conduct specification reviews, monitor customer requirements, and manage project execution. Essential skills include audit experience, knowledge of new product launches, inspection plans, problem-solving, root cause analysis, and control of nonconformance. Ensure proper processes and documentation (SOPs) are in place and projects are managed according to customer specifications.

Description: Responsible for planning, organizing, evaluating, and leading initiatives and product launches to improve manufacturing methods, tooling, production equipment capabilities, and assembly methods. Conduct specification reviews, monitor customer requirements, and manage project execution. Essential skills include audit experience, knowledge of new product launches, inspection plans, problem-solving, root cause analysis, and control of nonconformance. Ensure proper processes and documentation (SOPs) are in place and projects are managed according to customer specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support to production departments through managing projects for launch of new products, tooling, customer communications, developments, and documentation.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; confer with equipment vendors; solicit observations from operators.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished products and process capabilities; establish standards; confirm manufacturing processes.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of tool and fixture modifications and process changes.
  • Assist in investigating customer-reported nonconformance issues and support in resolving complaints and corrective actions promptly.
  • Model and enforce plant safety practices, oversee safety orientation and emergency procedures, and report hazards to management.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
