Overview

We’re hiring a Production Director to fully own production in Los Angeles — from scrappy lo-fi creator shoots to premium brand campaigns.

This role is operational, fast-paced, and hands-on. On some days, you may oversee up to three shoots across different scales. You will own budgets, crew management, production timelines, and post-production delivery.

If you need long timelines and slow approval cycles, this isn’t the role. If you thrive in controlled chaos and know how to make quality happen at speed, it is.

What You’ll Own

• Full oversight of all LA-based production (photo + video)
• Managing simultaneous lo-fi, UGC-style, and premium shoots
• Building and managing shoot schedules (often multiple per day)
• Hiring and managing crew: DP, shooters, editors, stylists, producers, etc.
• Owning production budgets and ensuring profitability
• Vendor negotiation and rate management
• Location sourcing and permitting (when needed)
• Overseeing on-set execution and troubleshooting in real time
• Managing post-production workflow (edit timelines, revisions, delivery)
• Quality control across final assets
• Maintaining organized production systems and asset libraries
• Building a scalable LA production bench (freelancers + repeat collaborators)

Ideal Background
