Qualifications

  • Experience in HVAC/manufacturing industry (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce visual content across media including digital assets, mass emails, TV/digital signage, print collateral, flyers, and signage
  • Design with accessibility and localization considerations in mind
  • Adapt designs for multiple languages and localization requirements
  • Support sales/customer-facing initiatives and internal communications
  • Design and coordinate promotional merchandise in line with brand standards
  • Manage a high volume of small-to-medium design requests with efficiency
  • Prioritize workload to meet shifting deadlines
  • Ensure output is on-brand and production-ready across formats
  • Maintain organization of graphic resources and templates
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project needs

Job Description:

The Graphic Designer II supports The Aaon Group’s internal and external communications by producing high-quality visual content across a wide range of media types and formats. This role serves as a versatile design resource for both customer-facing and internal initiatives, moving between digital assets, email campaigns, video/TV screen graphics, print collateral, flyers, signage, and promotional merchandise. The ideal candidate brings strong design fundamentals, versatility across formats and platforms, and an understanding of accessibility and multi-language/localization considerations in visual design. Success in this role requires the ability to manage a high volume of concurrent requests, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, and consistently deliver polished work under tight deadlines. The Graphic Designer II plays a critical role in producing accurate, on-brand, and accessible visual content across a broad range of formats and channels. This role is high-volume and fast-paced by nature, requiring efficient production, sound judgment on prioritization, and consistent quality across many concurrent, smaller-scope projects rather than a small number of large-scale initiatives.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Design and produce visual content across a wide variety of media, including digital assets, mass email/marketing communications, TV and digital signage/screens, print materials, flyers, and signage
  • Design with accessibility best practices in mind, including color contrast, legibility, and formatting considerations for diverse audiences
  • Adapt and format designs to support multiple languages and localization requirements
  • Support both sales/customer‑facing initiatives and internal communications and branded initiatives
  • Design and coordinate promotional merchandise and swag in alignment with brand standards
  • Manage a high volume of concurrent, small‑to‑medium scope design requests with efficiency and accuracy
  • Prioritize and adjust workload in response to shifting business needs and competing deadlines
  • Ensure design output is consistently on‑brand, accurate, and production‑ready across all formats
  • Maintain and organize graphic resources, templates, and files for easy access and reuse
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to understand project needs, timelines, and constraints
  • Troubleshoot format‑and‑platform‑specific production requirements (print specs, email rendering, screen resolutions, file types)
  • Participate in professional development activities
Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred:

3–5 years of professional design experience Certification in Adobe Creative Suite or UX/UI design Experience in the HVAC or manufacturing industry

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and layout
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
  • Familiarity with digital publishing, print production, and content management systems
  • Creative problem‑solving and attention to detail
  • Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Essential Mental and Physical Functions:
  • This role requires advanced creative thinking, technical skill, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • The Graphic Designer II must be able to lead projects and collaborate effectively across departments
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Visual acuity for detailed design work and screen‑based tasks
  • Auditory capability for team collaboration and meetings
  • Cognitive ability to plan, process, and solve design‑related challenges
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 10 lbs
Work Environment:

Work is primarily performed in a climate‑controlled office environment at The Aaon Group’s corporate headquarters. Occasional visits to the manufacturing floor may be required, which may involve exposure to dust, fumes, loud noises, and forklift traffic.
