Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist to guide the quality, enrichment, and delivery of property and real estate reference data for ICE's Fixed Income and Data Services products.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree preferred (MS or PhD) in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, or economics, or equivalent experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python (or R) with core data science libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn), and advanced SQL for profiling, joins, and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Spark, building and maintaining scheduled production jobs.
• Solid grounding in data quality, validation, reconciliation, and entity resolution.
• Experience delivering recurring data products to clients via secure file transfer and delivery validation.
• Familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and generative AI tooling.
• Working knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and BI tools (Tableau or Power BI).
• Excellent written and oral communication; experience in an applied, agile R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Own, validate, and maintain recurring production data feeds and datasets ensuring data quality for internal and client deliveries.
• Build, modernize, and automate SQL and Databricks workloads and productionize legacy processes.
• Plan and run data migration and platform rollout testing, quantify differences, and assess impact on deliverables.
• Develop, validate, and interpret statistical and predictive models; create visualizations for portfolio and market insights.
• Contribute to ICE AI Center of Excellence from prototyping to productionizing ML solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineering, product, and client teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Communicate methods and findings clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences; respond to questions.
• Document workflows, review code, and mentor junior team members.
