Job summary

Vallourec Star in Houston seeks a Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will perform pipe preparation, threading, coating assistance, and quality checks while maintaining strict safety standards on the shop floor.

Qualified candidates bring a High School Diploma, 0–2 years' experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. English fluency and teamwork are essential for daily tasks and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of experience as a Production Operator preferred.
• Must be fluent in English with reading/writing ability.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull 75 lbs.
• Forklift and overhead crane operation trained/licensed where required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies, wear PPE and uniform.
• Apply thread lubricant or storage compound to threads as needed.
• Install thread protectors to prevent damage to finished threads.
• Operate saws to cut off pipe ends or rejected threads.
• Manually drift pipe as required.
• Perform shop cleanup and abrasive blasting of threaded ends.
• Assist machine operators with heavy tooling during setup.
• Assist in phosphate coating and product preparation.
• Ensure quality control and follow all work instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Lead/Supervisor/Manager.

Your Day-to-Day Impact

You’llplay a vital role in our Production teamby:

• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and wear required PPE and uniform.
• Apply thread lubricant or storage compound to threads as needed.
• Install thread protectors to prevent damage to finished threads.
• Operate saws to cut off pipe ends or rejected threads.
• Manually drift pipe as required.
• Perform shop cleanup and abrasive blasting of threaded ends.
• Assist machine operators with heavy tooling during machine setup.
• Assist in phosphate coating and product preparation.
• Ensure quality control and follow all work instructions, specifications, and company rules.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Lead, Supervisor, or Manager
