Job description

Hawthorne, CA

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

PRODUCTION COORDINATOR (STARLINK AVIATION) - 1ST SHIFT

Starlink believes in providing fast, reliable internet to serve populations with little or no connectivity. We design, build, and launch the world's largest constellation of satellites, enabling us to operate a global internet network unbounded by traditional ground infrastructure limitations. In addition to direct-to-consumer service, Starlink is also developing high-speed internet for commercial and private aircraft. We are looking for a results-driven, detail-oriented production coordinator to help ramp up our production capability and deliver our growing demand for inflight connectivity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, store, and issue flight hardware to support shop operations
  • Kit parts to production work orders using the Warpdrive application to ensure weekly production build targets can be achieved
  • Packout aviation integration kits to FAA standards and ensure applicable paperwork is obtained
  • Communicate with stakeholders on readiness of kits as well as any shortages that may prevent completion
  • Maintain strict material handling practices per procedures
  • Monitor shelf-life storage and maintain proper rotation of stock

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of inventory control experience

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of inventory control experience in a warehouse
  • Experience and understanding of inventory and kitting processes
  • Experience operating a forklift and other related inventory equipment
  • Experience within the aerospace sector and working with flight hardware

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work 1st shift hours: 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
  • Must be willing to work in an open-aired environment, lacking temperature controls
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:

Production Coordinator/Level 1: $22.00 - $24.50/hour
Production Coordinator/Level 2: $24.00 - $27.00/hour
Production Coordinator/Level 3: $26.00 - $30.00/hour
