The Cayre Group, NYC-based, seeks a Production Coordinator to support our Ladies/Kids Sleepwear team in New York City. This hands-on role requires 2-4 years of apparel production experience and the ability to manage multiple styles, vendors, and deadlines.

The role involves overseeing WIP and Time & Action calendars, tracking POs, communicating with overseas factories, and coordinating labeling and compliance. Onsite, full-time, with a salary around $75,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of apparel production experience.
• Ladies, Kids or Sleepwear experience preferred.
• Experience working with overseas vendors/factories.
• Strong knowledge of WIP and T&A calendars.
• Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Walmart experience is a plus.
• Comfortable working collaboratively and communicating with multiple teams.

• Assist with day-to-day production needs and special projects as required.

This is a hands-on role for someone with 2-4 years of apparel production experience who understands the production process and can confidently keep multiple styles, vendors and deadlines moving.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain and update WIP reports and Time & Action calendars
• Track purchase orders, production status, ex-factory dates and deliveries
• Communicate regularly with overseas vendors and factories
• Follow up on development, fit, PP and TOP samples
• Track sample approvals, fabric, trims, color, artwork and packaging
• Coordinate labeling, testing and compliance requirements
• Monitor production timelines and proactively follow up on outstanding items

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will already understand the fundamentals of apparel production and be able to quickly learn our specific processes and systems.

You should be able to look at your assigned styles and understand where they are in the production process, what needs to happen next, which critical dates are approaching and when something requires immediate attention.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates consistently with factories and vendors, maintains accurate production tracking, follows up without needing repeated direction and identifies potential issues before they become larger production problems.

We can teach you how we do things. We’re looking for someone who already understands what needs to be done.

Position Details:
