Position Overview

Based onsite at Rocket Lab's global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Senior Production Coordinator supports production by following up on work orders, expediting deliveries, and resolving blockers to ensure on-time delivery. This role is essential within our planning function, supporting production planners to facilitate the timely delivery of fabricated materials within our global system.

Responsibilities

1. Fulfillment within MRP for production work orders.
2. Releasing kit requests to Inventory.
3. Supporting prioritization and expediting subassemblies to meet the integration timeline.
4. Clearing blockers preventing production, including following up on issue tickets, part shortages, and yield loss.
5. Working collaboratively across functions to achieve company goals.
6. Performing other duties as assigned by your manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain, or an Associate's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in MRP systems.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to work 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm).
• Ability to travel and work extended hours or weekends as needed.
• Specific vision abilities required, including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
• Physical ability to commute and operate computer equipment.
• Exposure to dust, fumes, and noise is possible.
