Job summary

Boom Supersonic is seeking a Production Coordinator to connect our two shops and maintain daily production cadence. You will track status across both the production floor and R&D, surface risks early, and route information to the right engineers and machinists.

This role builds the tracking infrastructure from scratch and requires clear, direct written updates and handoffs. It’s a connective tissue position that keeps the line moving across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations coordination or production support in manufacturing (direct floor coordination).
• Experience tracking status across multiple teams or shifts, preferably high-mix environments.
• Comfort with ambiguity and building structure from scratch.
• Clear, direct written communication (updates, escalations, handoffs).
• ERP or scheduling system experience a plus; ability to build tracking systems from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Status visibility across both shops — tracking active jobs, flagging risks, and informing the right people on time.
• Cross-shop coordination between production and R&D — keeping dependencies visible to prevent conflicts.
• Escalation routing — knowing what to handle, what to flag, and what needs to stop the line.
• Shift handoff communication — ensuring nothing gets lost between shifts.
• Build and maintain the production coordination infrastructure, keeping it simple to drive adoption.
