Job summary

Boom Supersonic in the United States is seeking a Production Coordinator to serve as the connective tissue between our high-volume production shop and rapid-moving R&D efforts. You will own status across both shops, catch issues before they slip, and ensure the machinists’ concerns reach the right engineers at the right time.

This role emphasizes written updates, handoffs, and building tracking infrastructure from scratch rather than following a fixed playbook.

Qualifications

• Direct floor coordination experience in manufacturing, not back-office.
• Track status across multiple teams or shifts in high-mix environments.
• Comfort with ambiguity and building structure, not just operating within it.

Responsibilities

• Status visibility across both shops — tracking active jobs, flagging risks, and informing the right people in time to act.
• Cross-shop coordination between production and R&D — making dependencies visible before conflicts arise.
• Escalation routing — knowing what to handle, what to flag, and what needs to stop the line.
• Shift handoff communication — ensuring information isn’t lost between shifts.
• Build and maintain the production coordination infrastructure — simple, usable, and adopted by the team.
