Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a qualified production supervisor to support the supervisor in meeting production goals, coordinate the workforce and workflow within the department, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role trains and coaches associates, organizes work, completes reports, and is expected to work overtime when required. Forklift operation and a valid driver’s license are required to perform essential duties.

Qualifications

• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have ability to exercise independent judgment.
• High School degree or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred for this position.
• Demonstrated good people skills required. Must be a team player.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Must possess general working knowledge of department tools, techniques and processes.
• Must have ability to learn and run required computer applications. Must possess required math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Must have ability to understand and apply engineering specifications, Change Orders, Production Orders and Standard Operating Procedures. Good problem-solving skills required.
• Excellent attendance record required.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime.
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be able to drive forklift

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor to meet production goals and coordinate workforce and workflow within the department.
• Perform semiskilled manual duties with awareness of safety, quality, WPO and Quality programs.
• Plan and organize work assignments, and complete reports as assigned.
• Train and coach new and existing associates, monitor productivity.
• May perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
• Maintain quality consistent with company standards and be willing to work overtime.
