Job summary

Turley International Resources seeks a Production Coordinator to join our manufacturing team in Picayune, MS. The role supports the Plant Manager by planning and organizing production, ensuring material, equipment, and labor resources are available, and collaborating to execute project plans efficiently.

You will design production plans, supervise operators, coordinate with purchasing, maintain safety standards, and monitor schedules to meet budgets and timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a manufacturing/engineering/related field.
  • Experience on a production line is preferred.
  • English language proficiency required; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize production plans to meet targets.
  • Supervise operations to keep production on budget and on schedule.
  • Coordinate material, equipment and labor resources for projects.
  • Regulate work shifts to balance workload.
  • Monitor health and safety compliance in the manufacturing area.
  • Schedule maintenance of production equipment for efficiency.
  • Oversee grounds and building maintenance.
  • Analyze and solve manufacturing challenges or bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure product quality and specs.
  • Assess limitations that affect efficiency and implement improvements.
  • Liaise with Purchasing to procure materials/equipment.
  • Review personnel performance for promotions.
  • Manage flow of materials from suppliers to lines to avoid delays.
  • Print production labels for shipments.

About the Production Coordinator

The Production Coordinator serves alongside the Plant Manager. Main objectives of the role include planning and organizing the production process, ensuring availability of necessary material, equipment, and labor resources required for project execution, and collaborating with Managers to ensure project plans are executed efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement plans for the effective use of material and labor resources to achieve manufacturing targets.
  • Supervise the operations of manufacturing personnel to ensure a manufacturing process is within budget and time schedule.
  • Conduct studies and research to discover a more effective approach to production.
  • Oversee the regulation of work shift to ensure proper workload distribution.
  • Monitor a manufacturing team to ensure operations comply with health and safety standards.
  • Schedule the maintenance of production equipment and machines to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee grounds and general building maintenance.
  • Analyze and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems.
  • Liaise with the quality assurance department to ensure product quality and specifications are consistent.
  • Conduct assessments to identify mechanical and procedural limitations that minimize work efficiency.
  • Work alongside the purchasing department in procuring raw materials and equipment required for maintaining and upkeeping of production staff and equipment.
  • Review personnel performance to determine individuals most suited for promotion.
  • Coordinate the flow of materials from suppliers to production lines to ensure manufacturing processes proceed without delays or shortages, monitoring rigorous inventory levels to maintain a seamless production schedule.
  • Print production labels to be included on specific shipments.

Manufacturing Working Environment
  • May include working indoors and outdoors.

Qualifications

  • Project management skills: Able to handle a manufacturing process to ensure timely and cost‑effective production.
  • Organizational skills: Adept at coordinating the different stages of manufacture to ensure seamless operations.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in production or chemical engineering, Electrical, Business Management, or any other specific to Manufacturing Industry.
Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar production line is preferred.
