Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a full-time kitchen teammate to prepare patient, retail, and catering meals following production records. You will perform advance prep, manage inventory, and maintain a clean kitchen environment in compliance with health standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of cooking in institutional settings, is able to read recipes, and can communicate clearly in English. ServSafe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate in English with internal and external customers.
• Ability to read and write recipes as needed.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
• Physical ability to perform designated job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient, retail, and catering meals following production records.
• Review pull sheets and organize ingredients for upcoming service periods.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment meeting health standards.
• Manage inventory by sorting, labeling, dating, and rotating stock.
• Collaborate with managers and team members to meet operational goals.

Job Description:

• Prepare patient, retail, and catering meals by following culinary production records, including short-order and batch cooking to ensure quality and temperature standards.
• Execute advance prep tasks by reviewing pull sheets and organizing ingredients for upcoming service periods and high-volume production needs.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment and surfaces meet health standards and recording temperatures according to regulatory requirements.
• Manage inventory by sorting, labeling, dating, and rotating stock to support food safety and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with managers and team members to meet operational goals, communicate needs, and support efficient food service delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.
