Feeding South Florida® is seeking a Production Cook for a full-time, on-site role in Boynton Beach, FL. You will prepare, cook, and portion meals following recipes and safety standards, while supporting meal distribution across our programs.

Role Description The Production Cook is a full-time, on-site role based in Boynton Beach, FL. This position is responsible for preparing, cooking, and portioning meals in accordance with established recipes, nutritional guidelines, and food safety standards to support Feeding South Florida®'s meal programs. Day-to-day tasks include organizing ingredients, operating kitchen equipment, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring proper storage and labeling of food items. The Production Cook collaborates with kitchen team members to meet production schedules, minimize waste, and support efficient meal distribution. The role may also assist with inventory checks, receiving deliveries, and occasional support for special events or large-scale meal initiatives.
Qualifications

• Professional cooking skills, including experience with large-volume meal preparation and familiarity with standardized recipes.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling in a commercial or institutional kitchen.
• Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and dishwashers safely.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills to meet production deadlines and maintain consistent quality.
• Capacity to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and collaborate with diverse staff and volunteers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a production, institutional, or catering kitchen is preferred.
