Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Production Controller 1 for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA. The role supports the Global Supply Chain department and the Goods Movement team in an in-office setting.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, proficiency in MS 365, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, ability to lift up to 30 lbs, and a valid driver’s license. SAP and MES experience are preferred; part-time 5/40 schedule with potential to extend to 40 hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work in MS 365, Excel, Word, Power Point.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain equipment licensing including but not limited to electric carts, forklift, reach lift.

Responsibilities

• Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control.
• Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
• Assists in determining possible and actual shortages and initiates actions to correct these deficiencies.
• Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering to alert authorities regarding potential problems and remedial action.
• Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures to meet shipping dates.
