Chipton-Ross is seeking a Production Controller 1 for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA. The role supports the Global Supply Chain department and the Goods Movement team in an in-office setting.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, proficiency in MS 365, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, ability to lift up to 30 lbs, and a valid driver’s license. SAP and MES experience are preferred; part-time 5/40 schedule with potential to extend to 40 hours.

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Production Controller 1 for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Ability to work in MS 365, Excel, Word, Power Point.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to obtain and maintain equipment licensing including but not limited to electric carts, forklift, reach lift.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Looking for a Production Controller 1 to support our Global Supply Chain department. As a member of the Goods Movement department, you will get to support the ACC shop.

Responsibilities:

Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control. Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production. Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules. Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies. Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action. Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates. Position is in-office, unable to accommodate a telecommute/hybrid schedule.

Essential Functions:

• Utilize WIP reports to expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing to assist in prioritizing WIP to ensure contractual schedule dates are met.
• Utilize knowledge of production requirements to coordinate with other shop support teams (Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, MRB, Industrial Engineering, Shipping, Distribution, etc.) to initiate actions to remove any constraints to Production.
• Perform necessary SAP and MES system transactions to; release work orders to Manufacturing, receive parts into inventory, close out manufacturing work orders, and issue parts up to next higher assemblies.
• Able to interface and obtain ECDs from Manufacturing based on the criticality of the parts.
• Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies.
• Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• Experience working in SAP.
• Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:

Parttime 5/40 workweek. This job is initially 25hrs/week with the chance to go to a full 40 hrs if work requires it.

This position will serve on site at El Segundo, California.
