Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead warehouse and logistics teams in Alabama. You will plan inbound/outbound shipments, maintain inventory levels, and drive cost efficiencies while ensuring compliance with policies and safety standards.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage logistics personnel, including warehouse staff.
• Responsible for the planning and execution of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels to ensure availability to operations.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assure direct staff’s adherence to Company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory activities, including shipping, receiving.
• Responsible for training, hiring, firing, performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff.
• Responsible for the timely identification and resolution of inventory and supply chain issues.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g. operations, EH&S, QMS and finance) to align purchasing and warehouse operations with business needs.
• Manage relationships with third‑party logistics providers and transportation companies.
• Prepare reports and present performance metrics to management.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for import/export activities.
• Monitor KPIs to determine areas of improvement and drive continuous improvement projects within the department.

Requirements

• BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree where required.
