Job summary

Woodward is seeking a Production Control Specialist in Colorado to optimize material flow, manage inventory levels, and drive on-time production schedules. This 1st shift role (Mon–Fri, 8 hours) supports coordination across manufacturing, engineering, and procurement to meet design changes and production constraints.

You will collaborate with management to revise schedules, monitor progress, and deliver actionable insights from production data.

Qualifications

• Experience with Loop Size, Kanban, minimum order quantity management, and production planning.
• Ability to support efficient material flow and optimize inventory levels.
• Knowledge of production scheduling to meet design changes and constraints.

Responsibilities

• Production Scheduling: Revise production schedules when required for design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, and engineering.
• Inventory Management: Work closely with manufacturing, scheduling and procurement teams to ensure reliable material availability for production.
• Schedule Adherence: Identify and resolve production constraints and delays. Monitor production progress and ensure schedules are followed.
• Coordination and Communication: Serve as a liaison between various departments, including manufacturing, engineering, and logistics, to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve any production related issues.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze production reports to track performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to management for informed decision making.

If you're a Production Control Specialist, we have an exciting opportunity for you! In this role, you will use your experience with Loop Size, Kanban, minimum order quantity management, and production planning to support efficient material flow, optimize inventory levels, and help ensure production schedules are met.

This is a 1st shift position, Monday to Friday, 8 hours shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Scheduling: Revise production schedules when required for design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, and engineering.
• Inventory Management: Work closely with manufacturing, scheduling and procurement teams to ensure reliable material availability for production.
• Schedule Adherence: Identify and resolve production constraints and delays. Monitor production progress and ensure schedules are followed.
• Coordination and Communication: Serve as a liaison between various departments, including manufacturing, engineering, and logistics, to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve any production related issues.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze production reports to track performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to management for informed decision making.

• Inventory Management: Effectively overseas and maintains inventory levels to ensure smooth production processes, eliminating stock outs and excess materials.
• Scheduling Coordination: Develops and manages production schedules to meet deadlines and optimize resource utilization.
• Schedule Adherence: Effectively manages production constraints and delays, while improving efficiency. Monitor production progress and ensure schedules are followed.
• Data Analysis: Analyzes production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Supply Chain Management: Coordinates with production and procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
• Communication Skills: Facilitates clear and efficient communication between production teams, management, and other stakeholders.
• Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain workflow continuity.
• Technical Proficiency: Utilizes production control software and tools to manage and track production activities effectively.
• Compliance Knowledge: Ensures that all production activities comply with industry regulations and organizational policies.
• Leadership Ability: Guides and motivates production teams to achieve targets and maintain a productive work environment.

Other qualifications:

• Experience with Loop Size, Kanban, minimum order quantity management, and production planning is preferred.
