Job summary

Woodward Inc. is seeking a Production Control Specialist in Fort Collins for a 1st shift role. You will manage production schedules, optimize inventory levels, and ensure timely material flow to meet output targets.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement, and using production control software to monitor progress and report on performance. This role emphasizes data-driven decision making and adherence to schedules in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Loop Size, Kanban, minimum order quantity management, and production planning.
• Ability to schedule production and manage inventory to meet deadlines.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills for production optimization.
• Experience with production control software and tools.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and ITAR/EAR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Production Scheduling: Revise production schedules when required for design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, and engineering.
• Inventory Management: Work closely with manufacturing, scheduling and procurement teams to ensure reliable material availability for production.
• Schedule Adherence: Identify and resolve production constraints and delays. Monitor production progress and ensure schedules are followed.
• Coordination and Communication: Serve as a liaison between various departments, including manufacturing, engineering, and logistics, to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve any production related issues.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze production reports to track performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to management for informed decision making.

If you're aProduction Control Specialist, we have an exciting opportunity for you! In this role, you will use your experience with Loop Size, Kanban, minimum order quantity management, and production planning to support efficient material flow, optimize inventory levels, and help ensure production schedules are met.

** This is a 1st shift position, Monday to Friday, 8 hours shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Scheduling: Revise production schedules when required for design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, and engineering.
• Inventory Management: Work closely with manufacturing, scheduling and procurement teams to ensure reliable material availability for production.
• Schedule Adherence:

• Coordination and Communication: Serve as a liaison between various departments, including manufacturing, engineering, and logistics, to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve any production related issues.

  Effectively manages production constraints and delays, while improving efficiency. Monitor production progress and ensure schedules are followed.
• Data Analysis: Analyzes production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Supply Chain Management: Coordinates with production and procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
• Communication Skills: Facilitates clear and efficient communication between production teams, management, and other stakeholders.
• Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain workflow continuity.
• Technical Proficiency: Utilizes production control software and tools to manage and track production activities effectively.
• Compliance Knowledge: Ensures that all production activities comply with industry regulations and organizational policies.
• Leadership Ability: Guides and motivates production teams to achieve targets and maintain a productive work environment.

Other qualifications:

Experience with Loop Size, Kanban, minimum order quantity management, and production planning is preferred.
