Firefly Aerospace seeks a Production Control Scheduler to own the integrated schedule for ETL Briggs test stands and related labs. Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain capacity constrained schedules for ETL Briggs test stands and internal inspection work centers.
  • Translate program milestones and customer need dates into daily, weekly and longer-range schedules.
  • Establish activity sequences, dependencies, resource requirements, constraints and critical paths.
  • Manage flow of parts and test articles through testing, inspection, disposition, and release to next operation.
  • Evaluate demand against labor, equipment, capability, test stand availability, and maintenance.
  • Confirm hardware readiness before assigning test or inspection capacity.
  • Maintain visibility of ready/blocked work, queue aging and forecast completion dates.
  • Develop recovery options for test setbacks and changing priorities.
  • Coordinate priorities when multiple programs compete for resources.
  • Maintain schedule baselines and perform critical path and variance analyses.
  • Provide updates during reviews and escalate issues affecting commitments.
  • Use performance data to improve planning accuracy and throughput.

Position Summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking a Production Control Scheduler to own the integrated schedule and workflow for the ETL Briggs test stands Coordinate Measuring Machine CMM lab and other internal inspection and testing operations This position connects manufacturing output test and inspection capacity and program requirements The scheduler will develop executable work center schedules based on program need dates hardware readiness labor equipment availability resource capacity and required work sequence The successful candidate must have solid scheduling fundamentals and experience applying them in a professional scheduling tool This is a floor focused role requiring regular presence at both Cedar Park and Briggs and direct coordination with Manufacturing Test Operations Engineering Quality Metrology Supply Chain Production Control and Program Operations

Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain capacity constrained schedules for the ETL Briggs test stands CMM lab and internal inspection and testing work centers
  • Translate program milestones and customer need dates into logically linked daily weekly and longer range schedules
  • Establish activity sequences dependencies resource requirements constraints and critical paths
  • Manage part and test article flow through testing dimensional inspection internal checks data review disposition and release to the next operation
  • Evaluate work center demand against available labor equipment capability test stand availability historical performance and planned maintenance
  • Confirm hardware readiness before assigning test or inspection capacity including Manufacturing and assembly completion
  • Approved test or inspection requirements Correct engineering configuration Tooling fixtures instrumentation and support equipment Required personnel and facility resources Quality metrology engineering and safety approvals
  • Maintain visibility of ready work blocked work work in process queue aging forecast completion dates and downstream schedule impacts
  • Work with production and test teams to establish daily priorities and ensure resources are assigned to the most critical work
  • Identify schedule conflicts part shortages capacity constraints and risks before they affect program commitments
  • Develop forward and backward scheduled recovery options following test failures nonconformances equipment downtime rework or changing program priorities
  • Coordinate priorities when multiple programs compete for the same test inspection or technical resources
  • Maintain schedule baselines and perform critical path capacity schedule variance and planned versus actual analysis
  • Maintain current execution status in Odoo and approved scheduling and visual management systems
  • Provide concise updates on priorities schedule risks required decisions and recovery actions during operating tier and program reviews
  • Escalate issues that may affect manufacturing output or program IMS commitments
  • Use performance data to improve planning assumptions schedule accuracy work center utilization and overall hardware flow
Minimum Qualifications
  • Three or more years of professional experience in production control test scheduling production scheduling manufacturing planning or a related field
  • Demonstrated understanding of scheduling fundamentals including activity sequencing logic and precedence dependencies constraints critical path analysis schedule baselines resource loading and variance analysis
  • Professional experience developing and maintaining integrated schedules using Microsoft Project Primavera P6 Deltek Open Plan or comparable scheduling software
  • Experience with Odoo or another ERP MRP or MES system used to manage work orders routings priorities dates and execution status
  • Experience scheduling work within a manufacturing aerospace defense automotive or engineering test environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work centers competing priorities and cross functional dependencies
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing documentation routings engineering drawings inspection requirements and test procedures
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills with the ability to drive decisions across functional organizations
  • Ability to work on site and travel regularly between Cedar Park and Briggs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in operations management supply chain industrial engineering business or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered
  • Three to five years of production control or scheduling experience within an aerospace manufacturing or test environment
  • Experience scheduling propulsion component qualification acceptance or development testing
  • Experience managing dimensional inspection or CMM work center flow
  • Experience with engineering changes configuration control nonconformances rework and retesting
  • Familiarity with Power Query Power BI SQL or other data visualization and analysis tools
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
Work Requirements
  • This is an on site position requiring regular presence at both Cedar Park and Briggs
  • The position will spend significant time in manufacturing metrology and active test environments
  • Occasional early morning evening weekend or on call support may be required based on test activity and program needs
  • The employee must be able to travel between Firefly locations as business needs require
