Position Overview :

As part of the talented Supply Chain team, you will analyze, coordinate and schedule components for different manufacturing functions using Lean Manufacturing principles to insure on time deliveries and proper inventory levels. Communicate with all manufacturing areas to facilitate a balance of materials while establishing priorities and giving direction to supervisors and area managers.

Essential Functions:

  • In conjunction with the Mercury Marine SIOP team schedule component parts to meet the daily sequence (assembly, paint, machining, reman) and communicate to Supervisor for successful execution
  • Recommend what to change in order to obtain 100% sequence attainment and P&A order fill
  • Work cross functionally with quality, safety and process engineering to resolve production line issues
  • Works closely with sales and SIOP team to deliver on needed models
  • Work with supervisor/area manager to implement make up plans
  • Coordinate Bills of Material (execution, communication, inventory transactions, BOMC checklist, MPTC serial break tracking sheet) (all in packet)
  • Review and expedite components
  • Respond to shift notes with updates and supply information for Supervisor to include when sending shift notes to assigned distribution group.
  • Attend Supervisor toolbox meetings and provide information and/or answer questions while maintaining confidentiality, if necessary.
  • Conduct Safety Observations on date required
  • Support new product launches and processes
  • Reviews stock out cards
  • Manage inter-plant shipping process and further process parts.
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities
  • Manage planning parameters in PIMS

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business, Operation or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
  • Strong Cross Functional/Team Leadership and Communication Skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • Good Organization skills with strong attention to detail
  • Technical and logical capability to solve problems
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight required
  • Able to read and comprehend bills of material and routings
  • PC skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in marine manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge in Lean Six Sigma methodology, Green Belt certification

The anticipated pay range for this position is 53,000-83,800 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
