Job summary

Boeing Company in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a Production Control Manufacturing Manager to lead the production scheduling for BDS Huntsville programs and manage the Seeker factory KPI-driven team. You will develop and execute production plans, drive lean improvements, and ensure ISO standards and quality requirements are met in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Project Management or Production Control.
• Experience leading projects and/or teams.
• 7+ years working in a manufacturing environment or equivalent industry.
• Familiarity with ERP Business systems and Microsoft suite applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Experience using Lean+ and/or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools.
• Experience developing and executing strategies to meet organization objectives.
• Experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements.
• Experience in developing solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Manages and oversee the development of the production schedule/shop load (2-3 week look ahead) for BDS Huntsville - SIWS & IAMD programs, (including re-entry of non-conforming product on NCRs, ensuring quality and workforce adherence
• Manage production control team for the Seeker factory using KPI's
• Monitor each line or sub-assembly area production plans and actuals to ensure optimal line balancing, WIP control, and elimination of over production
• Work with QA and production to ensure quality parts and that all ISO standards are met in compliance with the customer
• Manage employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
• Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures, while developing organizational and technical strategies
• Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
• Manages, develops and motivates employees

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final post-start U.S. Secret clearance is required. Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in Project Management or Production Control
• Experience leading projects and/or teams
• More than 7 years working in a manufacturing environment or equivalent industry
• Familiarity with ERP Business systems and Microsoft suite applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Experience using Lean+ and/or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools
• Experience developing and executing strategies to meet organization objectives
• Experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• PMP and other Program Management certifications
