Job summary

IMEX VISION LLC in Irvine, CA is seeking a hands-on Production Controller to own daily and weekly scheduling of printing, cutting, and forming on the plant floor. You will balance delivery dates with machine capacity, materials, and changeovers to keep the line running smoothly.

This role requires on-site leadership, daily floor meetings, and fast decision making when downtime or supply issues arise. You will use ERP systems to keep status current and collaborate with supervisors and operators

Qualifications

• Background in production control, scheduling, manufacturing ops, or production supervision—especially plants with changeovers, molds/tooling, or multi-step flow.
• Schedule by efficiency and constraints, not due date alone.
• Comfortable directing people on the floor and running short, clear meetings.
• Decisive under pressure; clear communicator.
• Based in Orange County (or daily commute to Irvine).

Responsibilities

• Build daily and weekly schedules for printing, cutting, and forming
• Sequence jobs to cut unnecessary changeovers, mold/tooling swaps, downtime, and waste—without missing deliveries
• Assign work to the right machines and keep material flowing between departments
• Adjust quickly for downtime, quality issues, shortages, staffing gaps, and rush orders
• Lead daily production meetings; join weekly scheduling reviews
• Direct supervisors, leads, and operators; hold the floor to priorities
• Flag delivery risks and capacity problems to management early
• Keep status accurate in ERP / production systems (Dynamics 365 Business Central a plus)
• Keep improving sequencing, throughput, and machine utilization

• Fully on-site at our Irvine, CA plant. No remote or hybrid.
• Must already live in Orange County or have a reliable daily commute to Irvine. No relocation.
• Pay is $75,000 per year. Please apply only if that works for you.

ABOUT IMEX VISION

We manufacture customizable paper cups and food packaging in the USA. Our Irvine plant runs printing, paper cutting, and cup forming for cafes, restaurants, and food brands.

THE ROLE

Hands-on production control on the plant floor. You own the daily and weekly schedule for printing, cutting, and forming—and you make sure the floor runs to it.

You take existing production orders and decide the best sequence and timing, balancing delivery dates with machine capacity, materials, cup type/size, print needs, molds/tooling, changeovers, and labor. Then you give clear priorities to supervisors and operators and follow through until the work is done.

This is not a desk-only planning job. You’ll spend real time on the floor, lead daily production meetings, and make fast calls when machines go down, materials run short, or priorities change.
