What You’ll Lead
Production Planning & Scheduling
  • Own the Master Production Schedule, aligning customer orders and sales forecasts with material availability, labor, equipment, and plant capacity.
  • Coordinate the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Finance to align demand, capacity, and inventory priorities.
  • Direct daily and weekly production schedules, establish clear priorities, and communicate delivery risks and recovery plans.
  • Adjust schedules in response to material shortages, equipment downtime, quality holds, and changing customer requirements.
Materials & Inventory Control
  • Manage raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory to support delivery commitments while controlling working capital, excess stock, and obsolescence.
  • Strengthen inventory accuracy through cycle counting, physical inventories, transaction controls, and root-cause resolution of discrepancies.
  • Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain to anticipate shortages, monitor supplier deliveries, and coordinate material transitions and part phase-outs.
  • Oversee Shipping & Receiving to support accurate material movement, inventory records, and timely customer shipments.
  • Use ERP/MRP systems to translate demand into actionable production and material plans, maintain reliable planning data, and improve operational visibility.
  • Establish and track key measures, including schedule attainment, on-time-in-full delivery, inventory accuracy, inventory turns, and shortage trends.
  • Apply Lean principles and data analysis to resolve bottlenecks, reduce waste, shorten lead times, and improve production flow.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering to address constraints and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production scheduling, material planning, inventory control, and Shipping & Receiving personnel.
  • Set clear expectations, standardize workflows, and build accountability for accuracy, responsiveness, safety, and execution.
What You Bring
  • Manufacturing experience: At least five years in production control, manufacturing planning, materials management, or a related function within a high-volume or complex manufacturing environment, including at least two years in a leadership or supervisory role.
