Nucor Corporation is seeking a Production Control Lead to oversee weekly and monthly production planning cycles, ensuring orders are delivered on time. The role requires coordinating with operations, maintenance, commercial, project management, procurement and HQ to manage backlog capacities and uphold Nucor's safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and costs, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office and ideally D365.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs for manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Basic Job Functions:

The responsibilities of the Production Control Lead include and are not limited to:

• Being a positive member of the NTS leadership team.
• Being an active participant in developing teammates according to The Nucor Way.
• Leading and managing the weekly and monthly production planning cycles to meet customer OTD.
• Collaborate effectively with operations, maintenance, commercial, project management, procurement and other teams at the headquarter office to establish and maintain backlog capacities.
• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, etc. for manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Microsoft D365.
• Previous Greenfield experience.
• Steel industry experience
• College education or certification(s).
