Production Control Specialist - Dekalb, IL

8AM-4:30PM MONDAY-FRIDAY

$20-$24/hr

The Production Control Specialist consolidates production sheets into the inventory system and Excel, maintains accurate inventory records, and supports production control activities. This role operates computer terminals, scans work orders, and tracks end-of-line schedules while actively promoting a safe, accident-free workplace in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate production sheets into the inventory system and Excel to ensure accurate and timely inventory records.
• Operate computer terminals and perform data entry to update production and inventory information.
• Maintain end-of-line (EOL) schedules by tracking completed parts and skids.
• Scan work orders and ensure all documentation is correctly captured and stored.
• Communicate with production control regarding use of overrun and re-blast materials using clear written and verbal communication.
• Perform cycle counts and support ongoing inventory control activities in a production environment.
• Use pallet jacks as needed to move materials and products safely within the facility.
• Promote and maintain a safe, accident-free workplace by following all safety policies and procedures.
• Work effectively in a self-directed, fast-paced professional environment while maintaining an upbeat and positive attitude.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support efficient production and inventory processes.

Essential Skills

Work Environment

Employees work in a busy manufacturing environment near moving mechanical parts and are frequently exposed to vibration. The noise level is usually loud and can occasionally be very loud, so ear protection is required. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in a production facility that uses pallet jacks, various production machinery, and computer-based systems for data entry and inventory control.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
