Job summary

Vulcan Elements Inc. is building a greenfield Production Control capability to govern material flow from receiving to shipping.

The role blends industrial engineering, production control, and manufacturing systems to establish the plant's backbone, align with Supply Chain, and drive continuous improvement as production ramps. You will define workflows, data structures, and interfaces across ERP/MES/WMS, while enabling standardized work, visual controls, and performance metrics for

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, or a closely related technical discipline.
5+ years experience in production control, industrial engineering, manufacturing logistics, or similar factory-facing role.
Experience designing or improving material-flow systems, workflows, inventory/WIP controls, and manufacturing-system transactions.
Strong analytical and systems capability including Excel and ERP/MES/WMS/BI/SQL tools.
Ability to communicate across shop-floor to leadership with structured problem solving.

Responsibilities

Design and stand up core Production Control workflows for receiving, warehousing, inventory control, replenishment, WIP, and shipping.
Define material-flow models, layouts, and buffers; specify data structure and transactions across ERP, MES, WMS.
Develop standard work, visual controls, escalation paths, and performance measures for Production Control teams.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Production, Quality, and Automation to enable end-to-end material and information flows.
