Cornerstone Building Brands in Oak Grove, LA is seeking a production control coordinator to plan and manage production schedules. You will enter XDA data and coordinate with inventory processes to meet customer delivery requirements while optimizing capacity.

Responsibilities include handling order releases, MES material requirements, and scheduling with inventory. You’ll collaborate with purchasing and manufacturing staff and support the Plant Manager on special projects.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in production planning or materials controls.
• Some knowledge of manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work in both office and plant floor settings.

Responsibilities

• Manage order releases and respond to exception messages in the company system.
• Process XDA releases and update material production requirements in MES.
• Coordinate with inventory control for scheduling and availability.
• Respond to termination/cancellation requests from Sales.
• Plan and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery expectations.
• Analyze sales order releases for capacity planning and material needs.
• Release production orders for materials and purchases.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, and supervisors on status and planning.
• Lead special projects as directed by the Plant Manager.

Job Description

SCOPE OF ROLE

The production control coordinator is accountable for planning and managing production schedules. They manage XDA data entry and integrate with inventory processes to meet customer delivery requirements while optimizing the company's productive capacity.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Order Management:

Acts on order releases and exception messages from the company system.

Processes XDA releases and updates material production requirements in MES.

Interfaces with inventory control for scheduling and availability.

Responds to termination and cancellation requests from Sales.

Production Planning and Management:

Assists in planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery expectations.

Analyzes sales order releases in terms of capacity planning and material requirements.

Orders floor stock with shelf-life for production.

Reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process.

Releases production orders for materials and purchases.

Collaboration and Additional Responsibilities:

Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, purchasing, and supervisors for material status and production planning.

Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments.

Manages special projects as designated by the Plant Manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1 to 2 years of experience in a production planning/materials controls function or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Some knowledge of manufacturing environment preferred.
