Job summary

Airbus Helicopters, Inc. is seeking a Production Control Coordinator in Grand Prairie, TX to support DCR shops and Logistics/Planning functions. You will coordinate inbound/outbound material, manage sub-contracts, and maintain inventory with FIFO discipline.

The role requires at least 1 year in material control, US person status under ITAR, and strong communication; SAP and Lean knowledge are preferred. On-site position with travel between facilities.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of related experience in material control.
• Must be a US Person under ITAR definition (US citizen, green card holder or equivalent).
• Effective communication in English, both written and verbal; strong customer service focus.
• Familiar with general office procedures and PC skills; able to use SAP and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate movement of material between DFW warehouse and carts/ totes.
• Ensure outbound shipments are packaged per instructions and complete SAP transactions.
• Maintain inventory and support shop needs with FIFO and shelf-life controls.

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Production Control Coordinator to join our Production Planning & Operations team based in Grand Prairie, TX. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks in support of DCR (Dynamic Component Repair) shops to help expedite the activities supporting the logistics and planning functions.

Your Challenges

This section details the primary responsibilities and additional responsibilities you will undertake as a Production Control Coordinator.

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinate Movement of Material: 60% Distribute new inbound parts from DFW warehouse to appropriate carts or totes. Return material to DFW warehouse Transport assets to shipping area for outbound to DFW warehouse Help enforce product designated areas: planning space, in/outbound shipping, kitting Manage discrepancies with received parts from DFW warehouse Manage incoming sub-contracts / processing – return to stock or production Manage outbound sub-contracts / final preparation, i.e. boxing, sealing, transport to Shipping area
• Coordinate Return to Customer of Completed Components: 30% Insure outbound shipping is properly packaged in accordance with relevant instructions Complete documentation needed to facilitate the shipment of finished goods to either the end customer for the AHI stocks Complete all SAP transactions required to make the part ready for return to the customer or return to AHI stocks
• Maintains Inventories: 10% Maintain inventory of materials in accordance with shop needs (consumable…) Ensure shelf life and First in First Out policies are maintained Focal point for invoicing and good receipt communication
• Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned: Additional support as needed, i.e. strain gauge shipment preparation, etc.

Your Boarding Pass

• Required: High School education or equivalent Minimum one (1) year related experience in material control 5% Domestic and International Travel involved Must be a US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license) Effective communication skills needed, both written and verbal Strong customer service focus Attention to detail / detail oriented Familiar with general office procedures and PC skills Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form in English Technical proficiency in Microsoft products
• Preferred: Lean Practices knowledge Aviation knowledge SAP experience

Physical Requirements

• Onsite or remote: 95% Onsite Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Daily Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
• Daily Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
• Daily Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. on a daily basis along with heavier parts and/or equipment on a frequent basis.
• Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Frequent Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer. Daily Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Occasionally Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor on a daily basis, and frequently for long periods of time.
• Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice between main facility in Grand Prairie and DFW warehouse location.
• Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.

Frequent Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
