Job summary

Dekko in Ardmore, AL is seeking a Production Control Coordinator to create and maintain the master production schedule, verify material availability, and coordinate with production, buying, and shipping to meet delivery goals.

You’ll lead cycle counting and shipping accuracy initiatives, backfill warehouse tasks when needed, and advocate process improvements. Requires a High School diploma and 2+ years in scheduling or production control, plus proficiency with MS Office and ERP.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience in a scheduling or production control position.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and maintain the Master Planning Schedule and schedule equipment.
• Work with management staff to optimize capacity planning.
• Work with production and buying teams to provide the most reasonable lead time to customers.
• Issue and maintain Shop Orders in advance of customer orders.
• Verify material availability prior to initiating production.
• Meet daily with key employees to stay informed of production rates and/or issues.
• Provide input on process flow and help to increase efficiencies.
• Answer customer service requests in accordance with responsiveness goals.
• Monitor MRO spend and implement strategies for effective material management.
• Actively lead the cycle counting program, driving the department to 95% accuracy.
• Actively lead shipping and receiving functions, driving the department to 100% accuracy.
• Serve as backup for warehouse responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for creating a workable production schedule to produce make-to-stock finished goods, fill on-hand customer orders, and supply the replacement parts needed to meet inventory and customer service objectives.

What you'll do:
