Position Summary

The Production Control Clerk generates work orders, compiles and records production data for program management to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.

Essential Functions

• Generates work orders, compiles and records production data to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, and other aspects of production.
• Compiles and records production data from customer orders, work orders, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques.
• Writes production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats, maintains files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed production sheets or work orders for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
• Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities, compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
• Charts production using Excel based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.
• Sorts and distributes work orders, labeling, and other materials.
• Perform other qualified duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

• Education: High School diploma/GED required. Associate degree in a business related field is preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years of manufacturing/production experience required. Experience serving a demanding production environment and understanding how to meet their needs. HVAC product knowledge is preferred.
• Computer Skills: Ability to type a minimum of 35 wpm. Skilled with MS Office Suite including MS Excel.
• Certificates & Licenses: N/A.
• Other Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail oriented and ability to adapt to a variety of production control issues that require prompt and efficient resolutions.
