Job summary

Abbott is seeking an entry-level Production Cleaning Specialist at our Casa Grande, AZ facility. You will support daily cleaning activities in the Nutrition division, covering production areas and equipment.

You will operate cleaning equipment, follow Sanitation SOPs, and help maintain compliance with FDA and OSHA standards as part of a team that keeps our manufacturing sites safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that assigned areas are properly cleaned using approved cleaning and sanitizing processes.
• Clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and these areas of the plant according to job standards.
• Operate specialized equipment such as floor scrubbers and scissor lifts to perform functions of the job.
• Prevent cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces and food contact packaging during sanitation procedures.
• Follow all company Sanitation SOPs for cleaning equipment and facility.
• Perform pre-inspection of clean equipment before requesting supervisor approval.
• Removal of trash/garbage for the facility; mopping as needed and cleaning of floor drains.
• Complete all required sanitation and work order documentation.
• Maintain sanitation related equipment including floor scrubbers, vacuums, and cleaning tools.
• May be asked to work in other areas as needed, if trained.

What You'll Work On

Ensures that assigned areas are properly cleaned using approved cleaning and sanitizing processes. Clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and these areas of the plant according to job standards.

Clean and sanitize food processing equipment and food processing facilities. Operate specialized equipment such as floor scrubbers, scissor lifts, etc. to perform functions of job.

Prevent cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces and food contact packaging during sanitation procedures.

Follow all company Sanitation SOPs for cleaning equipment and facility.

Perform pre-inspection of clean equipment before requesting supervisor approval.

Removal of trash/garbage for the facility; mopping as needed, cleaning of floor drains and any exterior areas requiring attention.

Complete all required sanitation and work order documentation.

Washes and maintains cleaning carts and tools.

Maintain all sanitation related equipment including but not limited to automatic floor scrubbers, vacuums, instructions., cleaning equipment and tools.

Perform other duties as assigned by the sanitation supervisor.

Keeps the cleaning supplies stocked, on-hand and organized.

May be asked to work in other areas as needed, if trained.

Pay and Shift

The shift and hours : This is a 12-hour Day shift position from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and allows you to have every other weekend off.

Week 1: Mon - OFF, Tues - OFF, Wed - 12 hours, Thurs - 12 hours, Fri - OFF, Sat - OFF, Sun - OFF
